My new ‘go to’ products

It is almost that time of the year again for our family HOLIDAY time! I have started making the lists and checking them twice, comparing them to last year to check I don’t forget anything, and that is when it struck me, I have new products in my life, products I now love and that I must share…

DR PAWPAW It Does It All 7 In One Hair Treatment Styler

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. It has been a while since I fell this hard for a product, especially a hair product (of which I am particularly fussy, ever since pregnancy/post pregnancy hair loss days).  I have bleach on my hair once a month, so I need to make sure I take care of it. Part of my daily hair dry routine begins with a spray in/leave in conditioner before I run the brush through. I normally buy these from the hairdressers as it feels safer and I was dubious when I was recommended the PAWPAW, but i needn’t worry, it is fantastic. I use it all the time, it smells like holiday, so that cheers your day right up to begin with. Equally if my hair loses it’s way during the day a quick spritz of the PawPaw and it looks and smells great again. My hair is in a great place right now and I think that is mainly down to (a fantastic hairdresser) and PAW PAW!

Browvo! Conditioning Primer

I am sadly from the over plucked eyebrows era, gutting. I have been going to the benefit counter to get my eyebrows tinted and waxed, which has helped make them look fuller, but I needed something more. The assistant told me to look no further then Browvo! ‘In 28 days you will notice a huge difference’, sceptical I bought it and smeared it over my brows as soon as I got home. You are suppose to use it morning and night, so I have it next to my bed to do both. I kid you not, two weeks in I noticed a difference, the hairs were cropping up all over the shop (well within the brow and eye region). I am now hooked and going to have to get more as they are getting fuller and fuller. Soon I will have erased 2000’s brow mistakes!

Dr PAWPAW Tinted Peach Pink Balm

Yes, they have another great product! a tinted balm that I use on my lips but can be used elsewhere, such as cheeks. It is great for mums on the go, it is good for your lips and gives you a gentle colour on them. What I like, is that is doesn’t feel greasy and like it is just sat on top of your lips like some balms. I also have a small pocket size one without the tint for on the go. The only thing I have noticed with the tinted one is that it seems to smell different now, not a bad smell just different, so wondering if it has a shelf life…or I might have just left the lid off or something.

Sephora Trio Blusher

This isn’t a new product, this is my forever ‘go to’ blusher. I fell in love with it 3 years ago and I haven’t found a better product. We are going to Rhodes and Rhodes Town has a Sephora! Yay!! It has a pink and brown and a light pink to highlight. Follow the back for tips on where to put it and you will never look back…

It’s well used!

Next tick on my list is to find a good mascara for holiday, any ideas? Comment below!

My baby is 1 (baby party ideas)

My baby girl turned one at the weekend and I really can’t believe it. I have never known a year pass as quickly as that, but at the same time we seem to have fitted so much in.

We decided to have a nice little party at home (well at my mum’s as we are currently moving house). I wanted to spend as much of the day as possible with Hallie so I ordered all the food from M&S and decorated the house the night before. I did however want to make her birthday cake. It just felt like a special thing to do for her on her first birthday, and I am glad I did as it didn’t turn out too badly, for an amateur (I can post the recipe in my food section of this blog).

I know we go to all this effort and they won’t remember it, but the point is they enjoy it at the time and so do their family and friends. With that in mind I thought it would be nice for her to have to memories and wishes written down to keep, so I looked for a time capsule. This worked perfectly and everyone wrote a message and placed it into the box, ready for Hallie to read on her 18th. We will also be putting some of her baby things in there, along with a bottle of champers :).

We kept the decor to gold and pinks. I came across Ginger Ray (Not On The High Street stock their stuff), they have beautiful party accessories, I got the plates, napkins, straws and banners from them. They were stunning all together.

M&S is always a good bet for party food. We ordered the usual sandwich platters and party platters, but we also got children’s jellies, cakes, jigsaw sandwiches, caterpillar rolls and fruit kebabs.

I ordered the cake stands on Amazon

And of course entertainment wise the children had many toys to choose from, but we also decided to rent a small ball pool that went down a storm! We made a baby party playlist of songs from Hallie’s music tots class and disney tunes (with a bit of Ed Sheeran thrown in as he is Hallie’s new fave). Nothing else is needed really.

All in all it was just the day we wanted for her and to top it all off my sister made another amazing video of Hallie’s first year…
